Fawcett : Are You Female And Work In The City Of London?
If So, The Fawcett Society May Want Your Help!
The Fawcett Society would like to hear from you if you've ever had an experience at work that you felt was unfair, inappropriate, or difficult, and due in part to you being a woman.
This may include one or some of the following:
Difficulties balancing your work with caring for your children at home
Having trouble competing with colleagues in the long working hours culture
Sexualised behaviours or comments from colleagues or clients that made you feel uncomfortable. (This may include sexualised jokes, stories, language or material)
Feeling uncomfortable when colleagues have gone to lap dancing clubs
Being asked by your manager whether you intend to have children in the future
Being paid low wages or less than others at the same level as you
Get In Touch!
If you have experienced any of these, or anything else you felt was unfair or inappropriate, please contact Kat Banyard, Campaigns Officer at the Fawcett Society - tel. 020 7253 2598; email kat.banyard@fawcettsociety.org.uk
Confidentiality
Anything you tell us will be kept strictly confidential. It will be used to inform a new campaign we are setting up to deliver positive change for women in the City. If you would like to discuss the issue of confidentiality further before you share your experiences, please contact Kat Banyard at the Fawcett Society using the details above.
Please forward this email on to your female friends and colleagues who work in the City - and help us bring about positive change in the workplace!
