GLDVP Consultation on Voluntary Sector Work

GLDVP are in the process of redeveloping their work with the voluntary sector.  We aim to maintain one full-time post working to support voluntary sector agencies on domestic violence.  As this post will have limited capacity we would be very grateful if you could answer the following brief questions about the prioirites for this post, future directions for this work and the support which you would like to receive from the project.

1 : Networking and developmental work:

• How would you like GLDVP to support your agency in networking with other agencies?
• Are there particular areas of work which you would like to see GLDVP developing on domestic violence? (please rank in order of preference):
  • housing and homelessness
  • health
  • alternative health
  • children and young people
  • women in prisons
  • LGBT
  • BME
  • disability
  • translation and interpretation
  • generic advice agencies
  • additional training / training standardisation
  • funding
  • sex work
  • domestic violence against the elderly
  • links with animal abuse
  • other?

2 : Newsletter and information:

• Would you like to continue to receive GLDVP news?
• Are there any changes to style, frequency or content which you would like to see included?
• Are there any other types of information that you would like GLDVP to provide for your organisation?

3 : Conferences / Seminars:

• GLDVP has run several annual conferences focussing on best practice, drugs and alcohol, mental health and alternative health.  Would you find future conferences / seminars useful?
• If so, what themes would you want them to concentrate on?

4 : Training:

• Would you like GLDVP to provide voluntary sector focussed training on domestic violence?

5. Funding:

• What support, if any, would you like GLDVP to give you on funding issues?
