IMECE : Script, Story and Photography Competition On the Theme of Domestic Violence
Women Tell Violence Against Women!
"Domestic violence is a form of violence against women in family and intimate relationships which manifests itself in emotional, financial, sexual and physical forms. Domestic violence is a gender based violence and aims to exert power and control over women through threat, oppression and control."
With this competition, Imece aims to narrate violence against women through the eyes of women and raise awareness of specific problems of Turkish, Kurdish and Turkish Cypriot women in the UK.
To enter the competition, send your scripts or stories and photographs, which describes domestic violence in a strong and effective way to IMECE.
All Turkish, Kurdish and Turkish Cypriot women living in the UK aged 18 or over 18 are eligible to enter the competition.
Deadline for applications extended to 24th November 2008 Monday 17:00
