Women's Environmental Network : Sign Up to Women's Manifesto on Climate Change

Women's Manifesto on Climate Change Launch date: 15 May 2007

Women's Environmental Network and the National Federation of Women's Institutes invite other women's organisations to sign up to a manifesto on climate change, to put women's priorities for action to the UK Government and industry.

Women are a powerful force to be mobilised on the issue and the manifesto calls on the UK Government for leadership and action to enable women to take positive action in their own lives and influence others.

It explores the relationship between domestic decisions women have the power to make in the UK and how women in developing countries are facing the highest burden of climate change impacts.
