Description:
ADVANCE is a nationally recognised domestic violence advocacy charity and is part of the innovative coordinated multi-agency response in Hammersmith and Fulham.
  • We are recruiting a Female Domestic Violence Housing Advocate who will work for our sanctuary partnership project within the local housing options and advice service.
  • You will provide a holistic service for survivors of domestic violence approaching as homeless.
  • The post will be based within the new Community Support Centre.
  • Office hours 9am to 5pm. You must be able to participate in an on call rota system from a mobile at home 1 week in every 5.
  • Pension offered on completion of probationary period at 7% employer’s contribution.
  • You will need a good understanding of current Housing Law and concept of Sanctuary Schemes, the effects of domestic violence, the Criminal and Civil justice systems, experience of face-to-face work with survivors of domestic violence and experience of risk assessment, risk management and safety planning.
