- Description:
- Bede is one of the leading agencies providing practical and emotional support to victims of domestic violence in Southwark. Last year, we helped over 500 clients and you will work predominantly with women and families.
- You will provide professional advice, information and advocacy support to victims/survivors of domestic violence on the available options including legal remedies in increasing their safety and that of their children.
- You will work part-time with the community mental health teams in Southwark collaborating with the Institute of Psychiatry at Kings Hospital on an innovative and exciting research project. The remainder of your time will be spent supporting clients within Southwark.
- The successful applicant will have worked with people who have experienced domestic violence or crisis in a community or advice work setting.
- A good understanding of issues relating to domestic violence, experience of working with other agencies, teamwork and computer skills are essential.
- Candidates should have at least one year’s relevant experience, excellent communication and team skills.
