- Payment:
- For all interns and volunteers, Fawcett is able to cover daily travel expenses within Greater London only and a fixed lunch allowance.
- Short term / Long Term:
- If you are not available for the full length of any of the placements, you may still apply, but the minimum duration for all is three months and you must be able to start on the date given.
- Description:
- Fawcett has a range of intern and work experience placements on offer for the spring-summer of 2006, starting in February. A number of our policy projects as well as our fundraising and events team need support over the next months, offering opportunities to assist with administrative tasks, event planning and delivery, research, contacts management, communications, supporter services, sales and marketing. Our lively volunteer and intern programme provides an important contribution to the organisation's work as well as offering you an opportunity to see a campaign organisation in action, to get an insight into policy work in the UK and to gain general work experience in an office-based environment and organisation whose work includes publishing, supporter services, fundraising and public events. From February 2006, we will be offering placements in the areas of:
- Parliamentary Affairs
- Membership, Marketing and Administration
- The Women's Budget Group
- The Gender and Justice Policy Network
- The Commission on Women and the Criminal Justice System
