- Description:
- We are a women only charity (Charity Registration No: 1101882) providing a number of services to Turkish/Kurdish/Turkish Cypriot women.
- We have a vacancy for a Female Advice and Information Worker, working within the framework of Legal Services Commission, with an extended brief to conduct outreach and networking duties.
- Applicants will be fluent in Turkish and English (Kurdish highly desirable) and have experience of working with women, providing advice and information on a wide range of issues such as housing, welfare benefits, domestic violence, health and education.
- An understanding of issues affecting women, particularly gender based violence against women, as well as the skills and ability to conduct casework in a sensitive and professional manner are essential requirements for the post.
- Experience and ability in conducting networking and outreach duties for wider community cohesion will also be essential.
- A relevant qualification in Advice and Information will be highly desirable.
