Description:

We are a women only charity (Charity Registration No: 1101882) providing a number of services to Turkish/Kurdish/Turkish Cypriot women.

We have a vacancy for a Female Advice and Information Worker, working within the framework of Legal Services Commission, with an extended brief to conduct outreach and networking duties.

Applicants will be fluent in Turkish and English (Kurdish highly desirable) and have experience of working with women, providing advice and information on a wide range of issues such as housing, welfare benefits, domestic violence, health and education.

An understanding of issues affecting women, particularly gender based violence against women, as well as the skills and ability to conduct casework in a sensitive and professional manner are essential requirements for the post.

Experience and ability in conducting networking and outreach duties for wider community cohesion will also be essential.

A relevant qualification in Advice and Information will be highly desirable.
