- Description:
- Jewish Women's Aid (JWA) is a registered domestic violence charity based in North London working in the Jewish community with women and children who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. JWA are a small professional team of 8 women, supported by a dedicated team of skilled volunteers. We offer a friendly working environment with regular support and supervision. We are currently seeking an experienced 'Locum Outreach Worker' who has worked in the domestic violence field and has previous outreach experience. Brief Responsibilities:
§ Provide outreach support and advice to service users and women and their children in the Jewish community.
§ Work closely with the JWA Refuge to provide resettlement advice and support to Jewish women and their children moving on from the Refuge.
§ To develop a new Drop-in-Centre and to provide support and supervision to the trained volunteers who will run the service.
§ Represent Jewish Women's Aid at various Domestic Violence Forums.
