NJC scale S01 sp 29 inc. ILW £15.766 p.a.

Description:

LAWA, a Women's Refuge and Advice Centre, offers practical and emotional support, and temporary accommodation, to Latin American women and their children fleeing domestic violence. We are a small women's organisation for women.

The post holder will be required to have at least one year of proven experience of working in a paid or voluntary capacity with distressed children and their mothers.

Previous experience with child survivors of domestic violence or children's work in a similar setting is desirable.

A relevant level three qualification in childcare is essential, i.e. Early Years Care and Education, Playwork on an NNEB. Other relevant qualifications (education, health, social work, and teaching) alongside considerable experience would be considered.

This post is open to women only and is exempt under section 7(2)e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975

Fluency in English / Spanish essential / Portuguese desirable
