- Description:
- The Latin American Women’s Rights Service is looking for a Violence Against Women Support and Prevention Coordinator to manage the project and its activities. Our VAW coordinator is moving on to a new post and LAWRS is seeking to fill the vacancy with a highly competent, motivated and creative individual.
- You would be responsible for offering emotional & practical support to Latin American women experiencing domestic violence; undertaking education and awareness programmes within the Latin American community; and advocating and liaising with local organisations and statutory bodies for better treatment of gender abuse.
- The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish; have a minimum of one year’s recent experience in providing information and advice in the UK; have a mature understanding of gender issues within the context of minority ethnic communities and a thorough understanding of the issues facing Latin American women in London.
