Position 1:

Research Aide

Description:

Basic research over the internet and occasional phone calls
Available to quickly and effectively carry out numerous small pieces of varied research/information gathering for approx 1 hr per week, during 2 to 3 different days of the week, feeding promptly back to the director

Description:

We also need more in-depth pieces of research (estimated 3-4 A4 pages). These need to be presented clearly, succinctly, yet intelligently so that it is immediately accessible to an intelligent lay person (eg Object, MPs). We already have gathered information in these areas:
i. Evidence from the Pro-porn lobby:
* Reviewing the evidence put forward by the porn lobby
* How does it seek to negate the well-evidenced harm of porn?
* What evidence does it provide that porn does not harm and how best can this be countered?
Excellent research skills / gender studies / in depth knowledge of this area would be helpful
ii. Incitement to racial hatred
* Researching the incitement to racial hatred act and discussion around it
* The level of proof needed to show racially discriminatory literature harms
* The application of this law and other information which could be relevant to calls for an Incitement to Gender hatred Act.
Excellent research skills / legal background / work and contact with race groups would be helpful
