Description:

OBJECT is looking for trustees (management committee members). We are particularly eager to recruit women, or men, with previous trustee experience and/or fund raisers who could put in time advising, and possibly assisting in, funding bids.

OBJECT challenges the objectification of women through the 'normalising' of the porn and sex industries (eg through lap dancing or lad's mags). We are currently running a high profile campaign in partnership with the Fawcett Society to reform the licensing of lap dancing clubs (currently licensed as cafes).

In the past we have successfully raised awareness over lad's mags and the Sport, with a Bill in Parliament, extensive media coverage and the drawing up of new retail codes over the display of 'unrecognised pornography'.
