- Refuge is a national charity, which provides a lifeline for women and children experiencing domestic violence. We are currently looking to recruit a Female* staff member to provide invaluable advocacy, practical and emotional support to women who have fled or are affected by domestic violence..
- Do you want to provide advocacy, practical and emotional support to south-Asian women who have fled domestic violence? Are you able to empower South-Asian women living in our refuges, by providing advice on their welfare, legal and housing rights and supporting women to obtain permanent, safe accommodation? If you have excellent casework planning skills, good written and verbal communication skills, up-to-date knowledge of current welfare, housing and legal rights, we would welcome your application for this fixed-term opportunity within our team.
- Candidates must also be able to demonstrate experience of providing support to south Asian women and should speak at least one south Asian language.
- You must have a commitment to the values of empowerment, support and equality, which underpin all the work undertaken by Refuge
