- Are you interested in healthy eating and living?
- Would you like to see healthy food made more accessible and affordable to marginalised people in East London?
- We are running a not for profit food co-operative selling fresh foods at near wholesale prices in a busy, well-established community centre in Tower Hamlets.
- We run every Thursday from 11am to 1pm and need volunteers to help stock, work scales, handle payments and assist our more frail shoppers.
- We are also looking to develop a series of healthy cooking demonstrations and workshops in our kitchen to promote eating healthy, seasonal fruits and vegetables and would like to hear from cooks who can volunteer their time and skills.
- As a volunteer at St. Hilda's, you will get the opportunity to develop skills in dealing with the public, business development skills and also to be part of an exciting social enterprise prioritising the needs of local community members.
- We are located within a large Bangladeshi community so Bengali language skills would be a plus but are not necessary.
