Description:

WAFE urgently needs a voluntary Acting Secretary General to help with our campaigns against religious Fundamentalism (in all faiths) and our promotion of gender equality.

Who We Are: We oppose religious Fundamentalism in every faith. It makes women second-class citizens and often subjects them to physical violence and mental torture. We support all moves to enable women to fulfil their potential. Please visit our website for more information.

What We Do: Raise awareness to the dangers of spreading religious extremism, recognise the means of combating this advance and publicise advances in women’s emancipation.

Job Description - Any/all of:

* Arrange funding and publications of WAFE’s distinguished speakers’ materials.
* Develop media contacts and implementing WAFE’s promotional strategy.
* Help in setting up 4-5 meetings pa in London. Hopefully elsewhere in UK.
* Help in extending meetings abroad (currently Paris & Canada). Including campaigning and lobbying. * Promoting membership.
