Group:
Women and Manual Trades the national organisation supporting women working and training in the construction industry have a variety of exciting projectsand are recruiting for staff to join.
Project:
Building Work for Women - This innovative work placements programme has just been funded by the London Development Agency and we are now looking for dynamic staff to take this project forward. The project has funding secured till March 2009 and we have the following 3 vacancies.

Position 1:
Information Advice and Guidance Officer
Hours:
35 hrs per week
Salary:
£26,277 (Inclusive ILW)
Description:
To recruit and conduct initial assessments with women wanting to get a construction work placement and to offer additional one to one advice and guidance to support women into work. The post holder will be responsible for delivering job search training and job brokerage to the women trainees.

Position 2:
Work Placement Co-ordinator
Hours:
35 hrs per week
Salary:
£26,277 (Inclusive ILW)
Description:
To provide training and one to one support to women on a construction work placement programme. To ensure the placement runs smoothly and to work with employers to secure further placements for the women on the programme, The post holder will be expected to deliver job search training and job brokerage to the women trainees

Position 3:
Welfare Benefits Support Worker
Hours:
7 hrs per week
Salary:
£26,277 (Inclusive ILW) pro rata
Description:
To provide support to women entering the work placement programme to ensure they are obtaining all the welfare benefits they are entitled to and to ensure that they do not loose benefits when they are on placement by liasing with Jobcentreplus. This job would ideally suit someone new to the area of Welfare benefits support with good networking skills.
