- Group:
- Women and Manual Trades the national organisation supporting women working and training in the construction industry have a variety of exciting projectsand are recruiting for staff to join.
- Project:
- UPSKILL - This successful Association of London Government (ALG) and European Social Fund (ESF) funded project has been running since March 2005 and is currently due to end in March 2007. We are looking for 3 members of staff to run the closing stages of this project. This could be an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to start a career in the women in construction sector. We will also be seeking funding to continue this project beyond March 2007.
Position 1:
- UPSKILL Information Advice and Guidance Officer
- Hours:
- 35 hrs per week
- Salary:
- £26,277 (Inclusive ILW)
- Short / Long Term:
- Contract to March 2007
- Description:
- To provide one to one advice and guidance and support to women training and looking for employment in the construction industry. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring trainees progress towards their goals and ensuring they are given the support to achieve them through referral, one to one support of training.
Position 2:
- Training Officer
- Hours:
- 17.5 hrs per week
- Salary:
- £26,277 (Inclusive ILW) pro rata
- Short / Long Term:
- Contract to March 2007
- Description:
- To organise set up and deliver training relevant to women on WAMTs programmes. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with external learning quality standards and accreditation of our self-employment programme.
Position 3:
- Administrative Officer
- Hours:
- 17.5 hrs per week
- Salary:
- £26,277 (Inclusive ILW) pro rata
- Short / Long Term:
- Contract to March 2007
- Description:
- To assist in the administration of the project including filing, responding to general enquiries, data entry and conducting mailouts. The post holder will also be trained to administer petty cash and complete basic financial records.
