Nappy Project Volunteer
Full / Part Time:
Ideally, we would like someone to commit to 1 day a week for at least 3 months.
Salary:
In return, we will reimburse travel and lunch expenses, and offer a relaxed, supportive working environment.
Description:
The Nappy team at Women's Environmental Network (WEN) is looking for a volunteer to support its two projects with a variety of tasks including some/all of these:
  • web based research
  • data entry (Access)
  • filing (electronic and paper) including press cuttings
  • answering enquiries
  • collating information
  • ad hoc admin tasks

  • A more detailed job spec will be provided at interview stage.
  • The tasks can be shared between a couple of volunteers, so candidates needn't have experience in all of the above areas, although computer literacy and some experience of using Word, Access, Excel is important.
  • The role is ideally suited to someone wishing to return to work / wanting to get out for a day (!) / retired.
  • An interest and enthusiasm for women's and environmental issues is desired.
  • As this role requires understanding of the links between environment and health as they affect women, and an ability to relate sympathetically to women on health and personal issues the post is open to women only. Section 7(2)(e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 applies.
