- Description:
- Woman's Trust, a registered charity based in London providing counselling, advocacy and support to women affected by domestic violence and training to front-line staff, seeks an experienced Development Worker to assist with a pilot to set up domestic violence mental health and support services in 4 East London boroughs - someone with sound experience and a range of development skills including:
Essential
- Experience of working with issues of domestic violence, including working within the women's sector
- Sound experience of development work over a period in excess of three years
- Experience of working with women from black and other ethnic minority communities
- Experience of successful fund-raising for charities over a period in excess of three years.
- Experience of costings and budgets for voluntary sector projects
- Experience and commitment to the provision of client-led services (Desirable)
The post is initially a 6 month contract to develop Woman's Trust services in East London. Funding permitting, Womans Trust hopes to extend the post to include the development of further services in London. A commitment to Equal Opportunities and experience of working with women from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities are essential.
