Description:
  • Are you looking for a new challenge, the opportunity to build on your skills and experiences and to make a positive contribution to the welfare of women and children? If so, Wandsworth Women’s Aid would like to hear from you.
  • Wandsworth Women’s Aid is a local charity providing refuge for women and children fleeing from domestic violence. We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic women with fresh ideas and an interest in fundraising to form a fundraising committee. No fundraising experience necessary although it would be helpful.
  • The committee would meet monthly to work on fundraising ideas, raising the profile of the organisation, and organising charitable events. This is a chance to make a real impact on a small organisation - any contribution you could offer would make a big difference to the women and children who seek our support.
  • You will gain experience of fundraising in a small but ambitious and dynamic charity, develop skills and gain knowledge of events, donor and grants and trust fundraising. Your commitment to us would be flexible according to the amount of time you are able to commit, but we ask for at least 5 hours per month for a minimum of six months.
  • We welcome people from all backgrounds and especially encourage women who may have experience of domestic violence to apply.
